General Questions

1. What forms of payment do you accept?
Norwood Arts accepts PayPal, personal checks, cashiers checks and money orders. We accept major credit cards through PayPal.

2. What are the shipping charges?
Shipping and handling for countdown boxes is $9.95. Shipping and handling for invitations, announcements, or holiday cards is $5.00. Items are sent via USPS. Norwood Arts will provide you with a tracking number once your order has shipped.


Countdown Box Questions

1. What is a countdown box?
A countdown box is similar to an advent calendar. A large box holds 10 smaller boxes. Each smaller box contains a baby item. 10 days before the baby's due date, the parents open box #10, 9 days before, they open box #9, and so on... until all of the boxes are opened and the baby's due date has arrived.

2. What types of countdown boxes do you sell?
Norwood Arts offers baby countdown boxes and big sibling countdown boxes. The baby boxes are available in three themes - baby boy, baby girl, and gender neutral. The big sibling boxes are available in two themes - big brother or big sister. Click here to order.

Invitation/Announcement/Photo Card Questions

1. What kinds of invitations and announcements do you design?
Norwood Arts designs invitations for baby showers, weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, graduation, retirement, and other get-togethers. We design announcements for new babies or other special events you are celebrating. We also create photo greeting cards that can be used for any holiday.

3. Can I see some samples of your work?

4. How does the design process work?
First, you contact us with the specifics of what you are looking for (examples: a specific design you saw on our site; a birth announcement for a boy featuring black and white photos; a birthday invitation for a 4-year old girl featuring butterflies, etc...) Then you email your photos to us. Once we have received your images, we will put together a proof for you. We will email you the proof to review. If there are any changes that need to be made, they will be made at this time. Once you have signed off on the proof, we will print and ship your order to you.

5. If my photos need to be edited, can you do that for me?
Yes, we can edit your photos to remove red-eye, turn color photos to black and white, crop the photos to fit your design, or whatever else you had in mind.

6. What size are your invitations, announcements, and photo cards?
All designs come in either 4x6" or 5x7". Certain designs can be ordered in 5x5" sizes. Please note that 5x5" envelopes require more postage when mailing.

7. Will you send me envelopes with my order?
Yes, envelopes are included with every order. If you are pregnant right now and want to pre-order your envelopes to address before the baby arrives, contact us and we can help you out.

8. Is there a minimum number of invitations I need to order?
Yes, due to the time involved in creating a unique card just for you, we require a minimum order of 25 invitations, announcements, or photo cards.

9. How long will it take to complete my invitations, photo cards, or announcements?
As a general rule, it will take about 5 business days from time time you send us your information and/or photos. Once we receive the details of your order, we will provide you with a more specific timeline.


Graphic Design Questions

1. What sorts of things do you design?
Are you looking to design a logo, brochure, newsletter, website, flyer, letterhead or envelopes? Norwood Arts can help you out. Click here to tell us about your job.

2. How much do you charge for graphic design work?
As a general rule, we charge $60/hour for graphic design work, although final pricing will depend on the length and complexity of your job. Please contact us with the details of your job for a price quote. Our initial consultation is free. Special rates are available for non-profit groups.

3. Can you recommend a good printer for my design job?
If you live in the Fort Wayne area, Norwood Arts can recommend several good printing companies that we work with on a regular basis. We can also recommend good online printing companies for customers who are not local.

4. Can I see some samples of other graphic design work you have done?

5. How long will it take to complete my design job?
That will depend on the length and complexity of the job. Typically, a small job such as a one-page flyer will take a few hours. A more involved job, such as a newsletter or website will take more time. When Norwood Arts gives you a price estimate, we will also give you an estimated time when the job will be completed.

6. What programs do you use, and on what platform?
Norwood Arts uses Quark, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Photoshop. We use both Macs and PCs.
